Every few minutes, the playable space of the map begins to shrink down towards a random location, with any player caught outdoors the safe space taking injury incrementally, and finally being eliminated if the safe zone shouldn't be entered in time; in sport, the players see the boundary as a shimmering blue wall that contracts over time.

A plane will fly over various elements of the playable map occasionally at random, or wherever a player uses a flare gun, and drop a loot package, containing items which are usually unobtainable throughout normal gameplay.

The highest three groups from every group will advance on to the Grand Finals, while groups placing 4th to 11th will transfer on to the Survival Stage, and the underside 5 groups will be eradicated.

The Last Chance stage options 16 teams competing in 12 matches, the place the highest 5 groups safe their spots within the Grand Finals, and the underside eleven groups are eliminated.

During the course of the match, random areas of the map are highlighted in purple and bombed, posing a menace to gamers who stay in that area. The battle royale characteristic of the sport was removed, which meant gamers wouldn't be able to shoot against each other.
